Capital City Century

Over 700 riders participated in the 2009 Capital City Century. The CCC attracted riders from seven states including New Hampshire and Nebraska, and ranging in age from 3 to 79.

A big thanks goes out to our sponsors, Bike-Tek, R&M Cyclery, Wheelfast, Ace Bicycle Shop, Spinner Specialty Awards, and St. John's Athleticare, and to 84 hard-working volunteers for making this event possible. And thanks to the Sangamon Valley Radio Club for communications support.

Mark your calendars now for the 38th annual CCC which will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2010.

Distance options on this recreational ride are 10, 25, 40, 62 and 100 miles over flat to slightly rolling terrain. The CCC features organized food stops, SAG service, and a post-ride party at the Beach House on Lake Springfield. Consider coming a day early and taking part in a free, 10-mile ride that features many Springfield area historic sites. (This information is based on the 2009 ride and may be subject to change.)
