Always the first Sunday after Labor Day
The Capital City Century (CCC) is one of the oldest cycling events in central Illinois, attracting attracting 800+ riders from multiple states. This year's CCC will be held on Sunday, September 8th, 2013.
Distance options are 12, 25, 40, 62 and 100 miles over flat to slightly
rolling terrain. The CCC features organized food stops, SAG service, and
a post-ride party at the Knights of Columbus in Springfield. Consider
coming a day early (September 7th) and taking part in a free, 8-mile
Historic Ride that features many
Springfield area sites.
2013 CCC commemorative jerseys and t-shirts are available for purchase. The CCC jersey (pictured at right) can be ordered directly from the Pactimo team store.
This year's
t-shirt (pictured at left) is a semi-wicking 50/50
poly/cotton blend featuring a Century rider in front of the beautiful
Illinois State Capitol. The t-shirt can be ordered through active.com when
you register for the CCC.
There is no extra fee to register online. In fact, the special early-bird rate which is available through August 18th is only available online:

More than 800 riders participated in the 40 Annual Capital City
Century on September 9th, 2012. It was a big success, thanks in large
part to the generosity of our sponsors and the tireless efforts of more
than 80 CCC volunteers.
Several sets of 2012 event photos are posted in the
