About the CCC

CCC 2013 photobooth picThe Capital City Century (CCC) is one of the oldest cycling events in central Illinois, attracting attracting hundreds of riders from multiple states. This year's CCC was held on Sunday, September 8th, 2013 at the Knights of Columbus, 2200 South Meadowbrook Road, Springfield Illinois. The CCC is a recreational ride (not a race!) attracting riders of all ages and ability levels.

Distance options were 10, 25, 40, 62 and 100 miles over flat to slightly rolling terrain. The CCC features organized food stops, SAG service, and a post-ride party at the Knights of Columbus in Springfield. A free 8-mile Historic Sites ride featuring many Springfield area sites was held on Saturday September 7th.
