Any of these experiences plus the invaluable benefit of improved health and vigor can be yours by participation in one activity -- bicycling! | | | | | | The Springfield Bicycle Club is a non-profit organization formed in 1971 by a small group of people who had a common interest in cycling in order to promote the many aspects of bicycling and to provide a meeting ground for those who enjoy the recreational, social and physical benefits of bicycling . Our club has grown dramatically from that time through the years. Today we have about 450 memberships from single and married men and women, entire families, representing a large social and economic cross section of Springfield and the surrounding communities. The common factor that initially draws these people together is, of course, their enjoyment of cycling. | | | | | | There are two basic types of memberships -- individual and family, but those wanting to make an extra monetary contribution may join at the Contributing, Sustaining, or Patron levels and may designate how the additional funds are to be used: advocacy activities or general expenses.
