John Sestak, Project Engineer says the trail cuts will be paved Thursday May 1, with the exception of one gap near the old railroad overpass on the northern end (Where the City has extended utilities). My recollection is that gap is less than 50 ft of gravel base. Anyone who has gone around the barricades knows the mud has been cleared off, and the cuts have gravel base. They have also repaved the street south of the railroad tracks to Hazel Dell (and then run cleats over it, so we get a massage).
Hope to see you there, Lynn

Interurban Trail to open last week of March.
According IDOT Project Engineer, the Trail will reopen –weather cooperating --in late March. After that the trail will close periodically when they are ‘swinging steel’ as he puts it. We will call periodically for updates and forward them for the SBC website.
Lincoln Land Development/Legacy Pointe has met with the Park District for the trail to go down the west side of the development. (As proposed at the public hearing last November.) The agreements have not been signed, and we will update you on that as well.
For those who have not seen the proposed route, please call 787-3354 or come to the March SBC board meeting to see them.
Lynn Miller, Bill Donels.
