Please check this page for updates, corrections and last minute changes to the ride schedule. Unless otherwise indicated, daytime rides will not take place on holidays. All rides return to the starting point unless otherwise noted.
Note on ride classifications: All rides are open to all riders. Rides are classified by the type of ride the ride leader has planned, but you are welcome to join rides which do not match your riding style as long as you realize that you may become separated from the main riding groups. “A” and “B” riders are welcome on “C” and “D” rides, for example, and “D” riders are welcome on “ABC” rides as long as you are self-sufficient (comfortable reading a map and handling repairs). If you have questions about whether a specific ride is right for you, give the ride leader a call. If you want to be sure you’ll have someone to ride with, invite a like-minded friend along. If you are unsure about your cycling ability, try a ride with a group one class below where you think you might be. You can then move up until you find the level that is right for you.
Please arrive for rides 10 minutes early. Be sure that your bike is in proper working order before you arrive. All riders are strongly encouraged to obey traffic laws, wear a helmet, carry everything necessary to fix a flat tire, and bring hydration. If the ride leader fails to appear, form a group and go on a ride if you like.
If you have questions about whether a specific ride is right for you, give the ride leader a call. If you are unsure about your cycling ability try a ride one class below where you think you are, then move up until you find the right level.
Please use the appropriate online mileage entry form to report ride miles. See the ride rules at www.spfldcycling.org/ride_rules.htm.
If you have a question or interest in leading a ride, contact the club vice president by e-mail: vp(at)spfldcycling.org. You can also contact him if you would like to lead an ad hoc ride. Please provide at least three days notice. The ride will be posted on this page, and therefore becomes a scheduled ride eligible for club miles.
