Public Meeting Wed. Jan 30th

The City of Springfield will hold an informational meeting concerning the proposed Downtown Traffic Signal Modernization and Operational Modifications project. The project includes improvements to 4th Street from Dodge Street to South Grand Avenue; 7th Street from North Grand Avenue to South Grand Avenue; and Adams Street from 6th Street to 9th Street.

Our Springfield Bicycle Advisory Council has submitted a request and very detailed plans for various bike lanes that could be installed on 7th Street at the time streets are reconfigured.

The meeting will take place on January 30, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lincoln Library, 326 S. 7th Street in the Carnegie Room North. We need SBC members and bicyclists to attend this public meeting and express their wish to install bike lanes on 7th Street.
