2023 Sangamon Cycling Series

The Sangamon Cycling Series is a series of four cycling events that will take place from May to August.  Each event will start from a Sangamon County park, and will offer a choice of distances ranging from 25 miles to 100 miles. SAG support and a rest stop with water and prepackaged nutrition will be provided.

Sangamon Cycling Series

Early Registration: From March 27 to May 1, the fee for this event is $25 for members of the Springfield Bicycle Club and $30 for non-members.  All participants will receive a Springfield Bicycle Club t-shirt and will be entered into a drawing for a gift certificate at a local bike shop. 

Late Registration: You may register after May 2, but will not receive a t-shirt. You will still be eligible for entry into the drawing for bike shop gift certificates. 

The Springfield Bicycle Club is not responsible for any illness, injuries or death to any rider or damage to their bicycle for any reason. Ride at your own risk. Cycling carries a significant risk of personal injury or death. DO NOT participate in riding a bike or any rides unless you are knowledgeable about the risks involved and are willing to assume personal responsibility for all risks associated with these activities. Please observe all applicable traffic laws, wear a helmet, and conduct yourself in a safe and prudent manner while participating.
