After registering, you will be receive an email with links to RideWithGPS route options. There will also be downloadable PDFs with turn-by-turn directions.
Routes begin and end at Centennial Park in Springfield where there is ample parking should you choose to ride with a small group of friends. Route options include 101, 64, 56, and 39 miles. The shortest one is a country ride to Pleasant Plains and back. The longest travels to Loami, New Berlin, Pleasant Plains, Talula, Petersburg, Ashland, Salisbury before returning to Centennial Park.
This year's CCCC is not supported by the SBC along the way at any time. All routes will go past convenience or grocery stores (or maybe even vending machines) in smaller towns. Take advantage of what they have to offer. Understand that restrooms may be closed at these locations.
The SBC is THE advocacy group in Springfield, Illinois for bicycling. Funds from our annual CCC recreational ride (now in its 48th year) have been used for local, state and national bicycling infrastructure and advocacy. You can check out some of our local accomplishments - many of which which could not have occurred without the support of our local and extended bicycle community and the funds we receive through our membership dues and annual CCC fundraiser event on Advocacy on the website. Part of your registration fees for this year's CCCC provide some funding to the SBC lost by the traditional CCC.
Will you consider registering for this event?
Thank you!
